About the funding
We have been allocated funding by the UK Government to support households in Luton between April 2025 and March 2026 with food, energy bills and other essentials.
Support may be provided in a number of ways including vouchers which can be used in supermarkets, and for gas and electric payments.
Who can apply
You can apply if you:
- have savings less than £6,000
- are in receipt of any of the eligible benefits
- have a household income less than £34,100
How much support you receive will depend on your individual circumstances.
Anyone placed in temporary accommodation in Luton by another authority will need to contact their parent authority to access their Household Support Fund offering.
Your application will not impact any targeted support you get through free school meal food vouchers or as a care leaver. You can apply even if you have previously submitted a Local Welfare Assistance application. This will not affect any other benefits.
