Support you can receive from the Household Support Fund
The support will be given in the form of grocery vouchers and utility vouchers using the Huggg portal. We will not be making any direct cash payments via BACS and will not be requesting any bank details for payment purposes.
The minimum an eligible applicant can get is £100 grocery vouchers, and the maximum they could get is £400 worth of vouchers.
Household income
If you or your partner live in the same household and receive:
- Jobseeker’s Allowance (Income or Contribution based)
- Employment and Support Allowance (Income based and Contribution Based)
- Universal Credit
- Income Support
- Tax Credits (Child or Working Tax Credit)
- Council Tax Support
- Housing Benefit only
- Carers Allowance
- Pension Credit (Guaranteed Credit and Savings Credit)
With your application, you'll need to provide:
- proof of benefits will need to be uploaded
- 2 months bank statements for all bank/savings account
If you use pre-payment meters for utilities
You can get £100 voucher towards your pre-payment meter for your gas or electricity. Pre-payment meters let individuals pay small amounts often, but it’s usually a more expensive way to pay.
With your application, you'll need to provide:
- letter from your utility company
- photograph of your prepaid meter and payment card/key
If you use medical equipment
You can get a £200 voucher towards your utility bill if you use medical equipment or devices for a long-term illness or disability.
With your application, you'll need to provide:
- prescription for the device
- a letter from a medical professional confirming the medication or medical condition
- a mobility assessment plan detailing the need for the equipment if required
