Waste that we can collect
We will collect almost anything.
This is a specialised field but we can put you in touch with the right people. We may be able to pick up some of the materials ourselves, but there will be a charge for this service.
Your duty of care
The duty of care is a law which says that you must take all reasonable steps to keep waste safe. Waste must:
- be stored safely and securely
- not cause pollution to people or the environment
- be packaged in suitable containers so that it cannot fall out, blow away or escape from the receptacle
- be secured against unauthorised removal as far as is reasonably practical
- have sufficient security to prevent the breaking open of containers and removal of waste by vandals, thieves, animals, accident or weather
You must make sure that the people removing the waste are either from a:
- local authority
- licensed waste collection company
They will be authorised to remove waste and transport and dispose of it safely.
You must provide a written description of the waste to the people who remove it. This is known as a waste transfer note and must be completed by both people involved in the transfer.
