Clinical waste is any waste that poses an infection risk to humans, including drugs and other pharmaceutical products.
Clinical waste is mainly produced by:
- hospitals
- health clinics
- doctors' surgeries
- veterinary practices
- residential homes
- nursing homes
- private domestic households

Collection costs
There is no charge to remove clinical waste from a domestic household.
There is a charge for commercial waste collections. The cost depends on the amount and number of collections. We will assess the costs when we look at the needs of the business.

- blood or other bodily fluids
- excretions
- drugs or other pharmaceutical products
- swabs or dressings
- syringes, needles or other sharp instruments
