Who can claim
You can only make a new claim for Housing Benefit if either of the following apply:
- you’ve reached State Pension age – GOV.UK
- you're in temporary housing
- you're in specified housing
If you cannot claim Housing Benefit, you should apply for Universal Credit.
If you are receiving Universal Credit, you can also claim Council Tax Reduction.
